Moving From Lo Debar To The Palace

This is a season of great transition and movement. It's important we allow the doors the Lord is shutting, the relationships that are changing, and the things you've been involved in are now shifting. Individually and as the Body of Christ, the Lord is doing a new thing (Isa 43:18-19). So many times we try to take old habits, mindsets, and garments into new seasons. It doesn't work. What has worked in previous seasons will not work where God is taking His people. In the spirit I've seen many stuck in mud, and others with strings attached to them trying to pull the weights of last season into the new. It's time to get unstuck, and stop looking back over your shoulder.

We are moving into a season of the greater! Greater visitations, greater dreams, greater glory, greater miracles. The greater! Ephesians 3:20 (TPT) says, "Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you."  It's important we prepare our hearts and minds to receive and inhabit what the Lord is releasing. So often we can reject the things of God because it doesn't look like, or didn't go down like we thought it should. We must set in our hearts to be those who will be led by His Spirit. We can't bow to our flesh or our fears. Fear will always keep us out of the promises of God. Mature Sons of God are those who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:14 TPT). When we allow the Holy Spirit to lead our lives, He will always take us to places that require greater risk and faith. Romans 8:5 (TPT) says,"Those who are motivated by the flesh only pursue what benefits themselves. But those who live by the impulses of the Holy Spirit are motivated to pursue spiritual realities."  When we press past our fears and securities, we'll experience and encounter greater realms of glory. This is the season of greater!

As I was meditating on this season, the Lord reminded me of the story of Mephibosheth. Mephibosgeth is first mentioned in 2 Samuel 4:4. When he was five years old. Saul and his father Johnathan were killed in battle. His nurse picked him up to flee, because they feared David would kill the rest of the family. In the chaos the nurse dropped Mephibohseth, and he became disabled and couldn't walk anymore. Fear will cause us to run from promise. They didn't know in 1 Samuel 24 David made an oath to Saul he would not kill off his descendants. Instead of waiting to see what would happen when David became king, fear caused Mephibosheth to run which caused him to become lame. How many of you have become crippled because of fear? Fear has a way of paralyzing and crippling us so we can't walk in promise.

Mephibosheth ended up exiling himself to a place called Lo-Debar (2 Sam 9:4). In the Hebrew Lo Debar means low place, not a pasture, desolate. Mephibosheth was royalty yet he was living in a place of constriction and desolation. What a contradiction. Mephibosheth had every right to be at the palace, but he allowed fear to keep him in an isolated and constricted place. In 2 Samuel 9 David asks if there are any decedents left of Saul. He finds out Mephibosheth is left. David calls for him to come to the palace. Mephibosheth fears what David has to say. David says, "
7 “Don’t be afraid,” David said to him, “for I will surely show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan. I will restore to you all the land that belonged to your grandfather Saul, and you will always eat at my table.”8 Mephibosheth bowed down and said, “What is your servant, that you should notice a dead dog like me?”11 Then Ziba said to the king, “Your servant will do whatever my lord the king commands his servant to do.” So Mephibosheth ate at David’s table like one of the king’s sons ( 2 Samuel 9:7-8,11)."

Mephibosheth lost his identity as a royal, he saw himself as a dead dog. King David is a type and shadow of Christ. David restored to Mephibosheth his identity and what was his. Christ wants to do that for you. When we forget who we are, we can't walk in what is ours. Our inheritance and position in Christ comes from who we are in Him. It says in verse 11 above Mephibosheth ate at David's table like one of the king's son. I want to remind you, you are a King's kid. You are seated in Christ in royalty. It's time to stop living in Lo Debar. The Father is calling you out of Lo Debar to the palace to restore what is rightfully yours. You were never meant to live in Lo Debar. You were always destined for the palace.

The Winds of Adversity

In this season I've been feeling the burden of the Lord for the Body of Christ. Recently, the Lord has given me a series of dreams that have grieved my heart for the Church. Many are hurting, especially leader, and the enemy is looking for ways to expose and take out leaders. The week before we entered into March, I began to feel the wind of God blow again. This was prophesied by many this would be a year of the wind or winds. Where there had been a lull in the spirit, I felt the wind of God picking up again. I heard the Lord say, "My winds of transition are blowing again. It's time to finish of projects, assignments, and even some relationships are shifting from this season. My grace is lifting from things of this past season, and will be on the new I'm releasing."  John 3:6-8 TPT, "For the natural realm can only give birth to things that are natural, but the spiritual realm gives birth to supernatural life! “You shouldn’t be amazed by my statement, ‘You must be born from above! For the Spirit-wind blows as it chooses. You can hear its sound, but you don’t know where it came from or where it’s going. So it is within the hearts of those who are Spirit-born!” As believers we are called to walk in and by the Spirit. We must learn to keep insync with the Spirit. When we digress from being insync with the Spirit, we risk missing the things of God or being a target for the enemy,

Recently I had a dream that shook me a bit because of the intensity of the dream. I sense we're coming into a season that will be very polarizing. I believe as much as the Wind of God will be blowing so will the winds of the enemy, the winds of adversity. The enemy always makes a counterfeit to the things of God. We have to use wisdom and discernment to know the difference. In the dream it was evening, and I had gotten in my car to go somewhere. I had just just buckled my seat belt and was getting ready to turn the ignition. Suddenly, out of nowhere the most violent wind I've ever experienced began to blow and push my car. The wind took my car for several miles until I ended up in a neighborhood. There were two cars in front of me that survived, and there was a car behind where the driver didn't survive the impact and had died. The others drivers tried to call 911 but I knew the driver was gone.

Sometimes we won't always see what's going to come at us. The enemy can't necessarily stop what God is doing in your life, but he will cause a sudden wind or opposition to arise. 1 Corinthians 16:9 TPT says, "There’s an amazing door of opportunity standing wide open for me to minister here, even though there are many who oppose and stand against me." I believe this is a season of great opportunity, but with opportunity comes warfare. The winds of warfare will try to distract, take you off course, cause you to loose momentum, or literally take you out. In the dream above, cars can be a prophetic representation of ministries. I believe me buckling my seat belt in the dream represented the belt of truth, being girded with truth is imperative when the winds of adversity begin to blow. The truth of God's word protects us in the midst of the winds of the enemy.

In the dream above, one of the drivers (ministries) didn't survive because of the impact. In this season there's going to be some casualties. No everyone or every ministry will handle the shaking well. The winds bring a separating and a defining to our lives. To survive the winds of adversity we have to be anchored in God. When we aren't anchored in God's word and His truth, we become easily shipwrecked. In 1 Timothy 1:18-19 TPT Paul tells Timothy, "So Timothy, my son, I am entrusting you with this responsibility, in keeping with the very first prophecies that were spoken over your life, and are now in the process of fulfillment in this great work of ministry, in keeping with the prophecies spoken over you. With this encouragement use your prophecies as weapons as you wage spiritual warfare by faith and with a clean conscience. For there are many who reject these virtues and are now destitute of the true faith (shipwrecked faith)." The word of God and prophetic words are weapons of warfare we must use to overcome. The word of God releases the power to overcome.

We can't be afraid to go through things. No matter the intensity or duration of what's going on, we must remember greater is He that's in us than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). You are anointed to fight and overcome your warfare. The winds may blow, but we don't have to be shaken. The Lord will use what the enemy make for harm to work in your favor. In the last part of the dream I found myself miles away from where I started. The enemy's push back is God's set up to catapult you beyond the opposition. I prophesy and declare the winds of adversity are turning in your favor, are going to work in your favor. The push back is releasing the momentum and acceleration that will launch you.
