As many of you begin to emerge in this next season, I believe we're getting ready to face some of the greatest warfare we've ever seen. I believe the intensity of warfare is increasing, because there is so much at stake. The other day, I was listening to Jennifer LeClaire talk about one of the words for this year. She talked about as you go to the next level, you will experience next level warfare. It made me laugh a little, and think here we go...
But honestly, we shouldn't be surprised when warfare comes knocking at our door. Yet, often times it seems to catch us off guard. I am guilty of this myself. Be prepared this year to face some of the greatest battles you'll ever face. When we realize we fight from a position of victory, it will change our perspective.
The enemy doesn't do anything new. He is uses the same tactics, but masks them in a different way. All week I've been meditating on the scripture Deuteronomy 28:7. It says, "The LORD will defeat your enemies when they attack you. They will attack you from one direction but run away from you in seven directions." I believe this is a vital scripture to keep at the forfront as you go through this year. We can walk with confidence as the warfare comes. The enemy may come in one way, but the Lord is going to send him packing seven different ways.
Warfare is necessary, and is part of the territory. If we allow it, it will propel us forward. We don't realize what's inside of us until something forces it out of us. Warfare will either cause the warrior in you to rise up, or it will paralyze you and cause you to run away. The Kingdom of God is aggressively advancing in this hour by those who are willing to fight for it (Matt 11:12). Are you willing?
We must learn to embrace the warfare. Warfare comes because you are a threat to the kingdom of darkness. It means you make hell nervous ever time you wake up, and put your feet on the ground. Joy is one of the greatest weapons to use when battling. The joy of the Lord is your strength (Neh 8:10).
As you face the battles that come this year, remember you are not alone in the battle. The Lord is with you mighty warrior (Judges 6:12). You are anointed to overcome what may come your way. To walk in each new level, we must learn to battle on the level of our promotion. God will give you the strategy you need to advance. You were made to war!
