I'm sure many of you have noticed in the last few years there has been an increase of warfare, and opposition. This will continue to increase as we approach the last days, but the Lord wants us to be strategic in our warfare. The enemy is strategic and evolving his tactics, we must do the same. The Lord recently reminded me of a dream I had in the fall of 2017. In the dream I entered this church that represented the Church at large. I was dressed in a military uniform as a lieutenant, and I was reporting to a general who is a known prophet in the Body of Christ. As I entered the sanctuary this prophet and another prophet were strategizing about the war and battle at hand. When the general allowed me to speak I reported from the battlefield that the prophets and prophetic people were getting taken out. We were losing so many because, they are getting caught up in the second heaven warfare.
The Apostle Paul tells us in Ephesians 6:12 (TPT) the type of war we're up against, "Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage." We must remember we are in a spiritual war that requires spiritual weapons and strategies. Logic doesn't work in this realm.
To understand warfare a little better, let's take a look at the different realms we can operate in. We are made up of body, soul, and spirit. The body correlates to the earth realm which is the first heaven (Deut 28:12). Our soul which is our mind, will, and emotions is correlated to the second heaven where the angels and demons fight (Daniel 10, Eph 6). And our spirit correlates to the third heaven which is where the Lord dwells (2 Corinthians 12:2). Depending which realm we operate in, we are subject to the law and rules of that realm. For example, in Genesis 32 we read about Jacob wrestling with the angel of the Lord. The reason Jacob was able to overpower the angel because the angel had come into the earth realm where man had been given authority. In Daniel 10 we see a glimpse of the second heaven warfare, The prophet Daniel had been fasting and praying for revelation, and discouraged because there was no answer yet. The angel finally comes to Daniel and says, "Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and humbled yourself before your God, your words have been heard, and I have come because of your words. The prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days, but Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I was left there with the kings of Persia" (Daniel 10:12-13). We see here the second heaven is where the angels and demons are warring. And lastly, the third heaven is made reference to by Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:2 (ESV), "I will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord. I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows."
In warfare, to be effective we must recognize what realm we're warring in. As a believer we should always be fighting from the third heaven, the place of glory and victory. So often we allow the enemy to pull us out of character into that second heaven warfare, and we get pounded with mental warfare and our emotions go all over the place. Ephesians 2:6 (ESV) declares, "He raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus." Being seated with him means we are above the second heaven warfare and principalities, That place with Christ, is a position of authority and triumph. When we allow the enemy to pull us from the place where we're seated, to his turf, we'll loose every time. When we fight from the place of glory, in our identity as a son and daughter, and the authority of Christ, the victory is guaranteed every time.
When we stay stuck in second heaven warfare, its the place of striving and fighting in our own strength. You don't have anything to prove. You don't have to fight on our own, His power empowers us with everything we need to be victorious. In Psalm 18:33-35 (TPT) David shares his warfare strategy,"Through you I ascend to the highest peaks of your glory to stand in the heavenly places, strong and secure in you. You’ve trained me with the weapons of warfare-worship; now I’ll descend into battle with power to chase and conquer my foes. You empower me for victory with your wrap-around presence.Your power within makes me strong to subdue." To be effective and victorious, we must allow the Lord to train us and mantle us for the warfare we face,
You are anointed to face and overcome your warfare. Don't allow the enemy to keep you stuck in the second heaven warfare and mental warfare. You have to fight in the spirit not in your logic. Our weapons are not carnal but mighty and energized with divine power (2 Corinthians 10:4 TPT). Many are getting taken out because they get caught up in a battle the Lord has not authorized them or empowered them to fight. Keep the battle on glory's turf. Come up higher Beloved, there's a higher way and different level of thinking to your battle. When you keep the battle in the glory, you have the advantage against the enemy.
