In this season of transition into the greater and the fruitfulness of God, humility will be the key to carry in 2019. Those who walk in humility, do not think of themselves greater than they are. The humble carry no pride or arrogance, and have no agenda but the Lord's. Ambition is causing many to build their own kingdom instead of the Lord's kingdom. Over the past couple weeks through a series of dreams and confirmations, a theme of humility continues to resonate in my spirit. Many of you have been in a contending place, walking through a time of process and growing pains. As you make your way out of this winter barren place, increase is waiting for you on the other side. In 2019, the increase is coming to those who have remained faithful to steward the “little” they've been given over the past couple years with integrity. Luke 16:10-11 (TPT) says, “The one who manages the little he has been given with faithfulness and integrity will be promoted and trusted with greater responsibilities. But those who cheat with the little they have been given will not be considered trustworthy to receive more. 11 If you have not handled the riches of this world with integrity, why should you be trusted with the eternal treasures of the spiritual world?"
The Father is looking for those He can trust with the increase. As the increase comes in 2019, it's important to keep the posture of humility. The Kingdom of God is an upside down kingdom. The word of God says the last shall be first, and the first shall be last (Matt 20:16). The verse is not necessarily about an order, but about how we see ourselves. If we're not careful pride can cause us to think of ourselves greater than we are. Allow the Lord to measure your heart. Don't measure your heart according to your position. Humility is the way of the Kingdom. Humility is a key that will give you access. Pride will cause you to push doors open before it's time. James 4:10 TPT says, "Be willing to be made low before the Lord and he will exalt you." When the increase comes there will be testing that comes to reveal the heart. In one of my recent dreams, I remember being on this huge platfrom and I was addressing the Church. When I was finished I had to climb all the way down the front of the platform like I was scaling a mountain. I remember thinking to myself in the dream, "I hope they don't think I look wierd climbing down this platform, but there is no other way." That's the key for your increase season. No matter the height of the elevation, there is still a humility required to walk in it. The greater the increase and promotion, the greater humilty needed to keep it. In order for me to stand on that huge platform, I had to be willing to be humble enough and exposed as I climbed down. How low are you willing to go in 2019?" May this be a prayer and practice you keep close to your heart like David did, "At each and every sunrise you will hear my voice as I prepare my sacrifice of prayer to you. Every morning I lay out the pieces of my life on the altar and wait for your fire to fall upon my heart (Psalm 5:3 TPT).
Another thing I want to address as you receieve the increase in 2019, don't be afraid to step out in faith with it. Fear is a terrible liar, and can cause you to forfiet the promise. Fear is a secondary emotion to pride. Pride is a lack of trust in the Lord, and says I can do it myself. I'm reminded of the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30. For some of you, the increase will come in your willingness to step out with what God has assigned to you. Sometimes we can be like the man with the one talent and hide it in the ground for fear of failure. When we fear failure, it's because we're focusing on our abilities and strengths or lack of, instead of focusing on the Lord's strength and ability through us. Fear will cause us to be steward badly. As we humble our ourselves and make room for the Lord to fill us, He will empower us to increase and steward well. Don't fear the increase, lean upon the Lord for the wisdom and guidance needed in this new season. Don't allow the increase to get to your head, stay low.
In the past couple months the Lord keeps bringing to my attention the numbers 222. The Lord highlighted Isaiah 22:22 and Daniel 2:22. In the story of Isaiah 22 we are familiar with the key of David being given, let's see why it was given. The story of Shebna and Eliakim in this chapter is reflective of what is taking place in this hour. The Lord is demoting the prideful and giving the all access pass to the humble. Shebna began to allow his authority to cause pride to rise in his heart. He began to see himself as God, and made images of himself. The Lord had enough and said this, "I will thrust you from your office, and you will be pulled down from your station. 20 In that day I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, 21 and I will clothe him with your robe, and will bind your sash on him, and will commit your authority to his hand. And he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. 22 And I will place on his shoulder the key of the house of David. He shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open. 23 And I will fasten him like a peg in a secure place, and he will become a throne of honor to his father's house" (Isa 22:19-23). Mantles are being reassigned to the humble, because pride has caused many in this hour to become their own god in their own eyes.
This is also a great hour and season of secrets, treasures, and revelations are being released from Heaven. Daniel 2:22 says, "he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him." The Father is mantling many in this hour with the spirit of wisdom and revelation. To carry and steward wisdom and revelation well, humillity and character are prerequsites. 2019 will be a great year of increase. The measure of the increase will be determined by the willingness to go low. The same humility that enabled the door of opportunity to open, will be the same or greater required to stand in it. Stay low in 2019, and watch the Lord bring great increase to your life you could've never imagined possible (Eph 3:20).
