I want to encourage you despite what you may be feeling and the world feels like right now, this is not the end. It’s the beginning of what we’ve been praying for. The new era. Don’t lose hope. Beauty is rising from the ashes of this dark season. Recently, I was talking to a seasoned prophet, and I mention how different this year is unfolding. A lot of the prophetic words I released and the words of others are taking on a whole new meaning and dimension. Many times when prophesy into the new, we don’t have the revelation of what that truly means and what it takes to inhabit the new. The prophetic words spoken over 2020 are true. The Lord began to show me that He is using this pandemic to tear down the rest of our structures and ways of doing things that are hindering us still, so we can truly embrace the new. God uses the dark seasons to do something brand new. Just like the Spirit of God brooded over the waters of the deep, the place of chaos, in Genesis 1; the Spirit of God is hovering over the earth. It’s out of the place of darkness something new was created and came forth.
Hear my heart. God did not send the corona virus, but He is using it to work all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). He has used this pandemic to expose the framework of the Church. The Lord gave me a dream in March where I saw the Lord weighing His churches, and many were not making the cut because of the framework and motives. In this season, the Church has had to learn how to adapt and still be relevant in crisis. Some churches will not make it out of this season. The Lord is raising up a remnant that carries the heart of the Father, and that have been tried and proven in crisis. In stripping the Church down to the framework its making room for the apostolic/prophetic mandate and framework to take place. How we’ve done church in the previous years and in the last decade will not work in this era. Behold, the Lord is doing a new thing (Isaiah 43:18). God is using this time to break down the spirit of religion, so the true Kingdom mandate. This is the hour of Apostolic reformation.
Where the Church has been within its walls, the Lord is using this season to provoke and cause the Church to come outside of its walls. The gospel was never meant to stay within its walls. We are called to go and release the Kingdom and the good news. Where there has been a lack of evangelism, the Lord is using this season to challenge the Church to a place of evangelism its not occupied for some time. This is the greatest time for the Church to shine in the midst of crisis. We are called to be that light, a city on a hill for all to see (Matthew 5:14). The division and slandering of one another must stop. We need to be a place people run to, not run away from. This is a year of reset not only individually, but for Body of Christ. Reset can be defined as to adjust or fix in a new or different way (dictionary.com). The Lord is resetting His Church back to original design. For those who have been feeling like its the end, it’s the end in the sense of how we’ve been doing things. The Lord is using 2020 to tear down our mindsets, the way we’ve functioned as a church, and as a society. Things will not go back to normal in a sense because, a new normal has been set. We’re going to see new voices and leaders rise in the Church realm and different facets of society.
In the beginning of the year I released a word, Times of Refreshing. At the time I released it, I didn’t realize the magnitude or the form it would take on. Jeremiah 31:25 says, “I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.” Refresh means to give new strength or energy, to reinvigorate, or revive (dictionary.com). The Lord is using this time to refresh His people. There’s a new grace and empowerment coming upon the the Body of Christ. There’s a new pace being set in the Spirit. To move with and in the Spirit, we must keep in step with the Spirit of God (Galatians 5:25). The word step in the Greek means to be in formation as in military formation. The Lord is resetting and reforming His Body into formation for this next decade and era we’ve stepped into. To embrace this new pace, we must embrace the new, and let go of the old. This is the hour and the era of the new wine and the new glory. A glory and a move of God we’ve not experienced yet. It’s coming. Behold (look, discern) He’s doing a new thing. Don’t lose hope. Things are shifting. The hand of God is causing the tide to turn. We will come out of this season victorious. This is the end of the old, and the beginning of the new. The new is not coming. The new is here.
