On Earth As It Is In Heaven

As I was recently praying and asking the Lord what he was speaking, I heard Him say, "On earth as it is in heaven." We've often heard the phrase, "On earth as it is in heaven," but do we really understand or grasp the importance of what Jesus was saying? In Matthew 6:9-14, Jesus was teaching the disciples to pray and how to access heaven. You see for things to be on earth as it is in heaven, you have to know what heaven looks like and what is sounds like. The Father wants to give you a spiritual picture or vision of your life, family, city, region, state, nation, etc. Heaven is the protoype for what things should look like on earth. Many are building things heaven has not sanctioned. There are scrolls written in heaven waiting to be accessed and implemented here on earth.

In Matthew 6:10, in the first part of the verse it says, "Your Kingdom come your will be done." The greek word for kingdom in that passage means dominion, ruling authority. Often times we don't see His ruling authority because we fail to implement it. When Jesus died on the cross, he took back all authority and dominion, and gave us the keys to the kingdom. Matthew 16:19 declares, "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven." The keys Jesus gave us, gives us access and authority to operate and move in the realms of the spirit. To bind something means, to forbid, prohibit, declare to be illicit, to tie up. To loose means to undo, dissolve, to declare unlawful, to destroy, to overthrow. Wow what a powerful responsibilty the Lord has entrusted to us. How often do we truly walk in this? There are many things hanging in the balance in the heavenlies, waiting to be loosed.

We often fail to see the maniestation of heaven, because we don't bring it on earth. The next part of your kingdom come is, your will be done. The greek word for will is what God wishes to be done by us. To know the will of God, or know His heart you must spend time with Him. Jesus would often sneak away and spend time with the Father, where He would reveal to Jesus what he desired. Jesus said, I can do nothing by myself, I only do what I see my Father doing" (John 5:19). There is a partnership needed with the Lord to release heaven on earth. Once the Father shows you what He desires, He will empower you and authorize you to do it. In the last part of Matthew 6:10 where it says your will be done, the greek word means to come into existence.

For this things to come into existence we must decree and delcare heaven's desires. Job 22:28 says, "You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you. The word decree means to make an offical statement that something must happen (dictionary.com). When you begin to declare the word of the Lord it supercedes all other other authority.  It's apart of the now faith talked about in Hebews 11:1. To declare means to announce or prepare the way like John the Baptist did for Jesus.  When we begin to declare the Kingdom on earth we prepare the way and make room, for the fullness of God to come and manifest.

Don't allow the enemy to steal your voice. You have been authorized to release the Kingdom. Partner with the Lord to release Heaven on earth whereever you go.

Thank you for explaining what the passage in the book of Matthew means. If ever we feel that we cannot keep up with the world, it means that we are doing something that we shouldn’t be doing. We need to continue sharing the gospel to keep inspiring other people. Every one of us is experiencing difficulties and trials. The word is one way to remember that there is still hope and love. We shouldn’t give up and we should keep on moving. Everything will be okay.

This kind of passage is what we need to read every day. We are all aware that life is always giving us some challenges that will test our faith and courage. But I know that through these passages, we will be able to realize that despite of those so called challenges are the blessings and love of the Lord that He has been continuously pouring. I have sinned but I know that the Lord is not someone who hold grudges. We just need to ask for forgiveness and seek His presence.
