In this season of transition the Lord is continuing to speak to me to encourage the Body your winter season or place of barreness is shifting. Many of you in this season have been walking through your Valley of Baca. Psalm 84:6-7 says, "As they go through the valley of Baca (weeping) they will make it a place of springs; the early rain also covers it with pools. The go from strength to strength." We will all go through seasons in our lives from time to time that will be a winter place. It's important we don't stop in the middle of walking through our valley seasons, because there is a reward or the promise we've been contending for is on the otherside. In Psalm 23 David talks about walking through the darkest of valleys with the Lord by his side, and as he comes through, it's then a table is set for him in the presence of his enemies.

If we're not careful we'll exit our dark season just as bound or more than when we first stepped into it. The dark seasons are not meant to kill us. They're meant to make us. In Psalm 84 with each step they took, their steps were prophesying their transformation of the Valley of Weeping to a Valley of Overflow. A lot of times the reason we don't see the transformation is because, we stop moving forward. In your night season God wants you to walk through it in peace. As apart of our armor we have been given the shoes of peace (Ephesians 6). Peace carries an authority, We have to learn to walk in it. Psalm 23:4 (TPT) says, "You will remain close to me through it all the way. Your authority is my strength and my peace. The comfort of your love takes away my fear." Peace is a weapon of warfare. The dark seasons teach us how to trust and walk in peace in the uncertainty and unknown.

As I was reading the word of God today this verse was highlighted to me, "The season has changed, the bondage of your barren winter has ended, and the season of hiding is over and gone. The rains have soaked the earth" (Song of Songs 2:11 TPT). Unfortunately, we have given winter or valley seasons a negative connotation. Those winter places are places of great growth, testing, restructuring, and empowerment. It's the place where things die and new things are born. It's where identity and your voice is defined. I believe the reason the wilderness seasons have a negative perspective is because, what was meant to be transition place often becomes a tomb for many. It becomes a tomb for many because they allow the intensity to stop them.

I want to encourage you to keep pressing through your winter season, because the season has changed. Recently, I had vision of a saiboat that was enduring harsh winds impeading it's progress. I heard the Lord say, "If you would adjust your sails, you would catch My wind again." The boat represents us, and the sails represent our mindsets. We are lead and driven by our thoughts and mindsets. As you're coming out of this hard place the Lord wants to bring deliverance to the bondage or mindsets that have help you captive. Romans 12:2 (TPT) says, "But be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation  of you think. This will empower you to discern God's will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes." As you go into 2019 the Lord wants you to shift your thoughts and mindsets so you can excell in 2019. I heard the Lord say recently, "I'm breaking the trauma of the warfare many have endured." The Lord wants to set you free from harmful mindsets and lead you to a place of empowerment in 2019. As Jesus was leaving his wilderness season Luke 4:14 (TPT) says, "Then Jesus, armed with the Holy Spirit's power, returned to Galilee, and his fame spread throughout the region." The Lord wants to arm you with Holy Spirit power as you enter your new season.

Part of breaking the bondage of your winter season as you go into the new, is dealing with the foxes spoiling your vine and hindering your relationship with the Lord. Song of Songs 2:15 (TPT) says, "You must catch the troubling foxes, those sly little foxes that hinder our relationship. For they raid our budding vineyard of love to ruin what I’ve planted within you. Will you catch them and remove them for me? We will do it together." Any time the Lord brings us to a new place in Him, a measure of deliverance is needed. There is no shame in deliverance, we all need it. Deliverance is the children's bread and apart of our inheritance. As the verse says, the Lord wants to partner with you, and catch the things in your life that will steal, hinder, ruin, and sabotage what the Lord has planted in you to prosper in 2019.

I want to encourage you as 2018 is closing and 2019 is opening, the winds are blowing. The season is changing from winter to spring. As you follow the Lord's leading and adjust your sails, your mindsets, you're going to catch the His wind again. His wind is taking you to new places in Him. The winds are bringing refreshing. Where you have felt defeated in your winter place, His wind is going to empower you to move forward into new places.
