Recently the opposition has seemed to intensify over the past few weeks. We are on the brink of great breakthrough and stepping into new seasons, callings, mantles, etc. Opposition is not always a bad thing. Opposition positions you for what's next, and for promotion. Often times we can discern the next step by the measure and the intensity of the opposition, and what the opposition is coming against. There has been a great stretching in this season, because what is next is going to require a greater capacity to walk in the fullness of the Lord. There has been pressure on all sides, Many of you have been wondering when will the pressure lift. Don't jump the process too soon, the Lord is using it to make and mark you for what's next.
We have to learn to discern what's the enemy and what is God allowing. In Luke 4:1-2, after Jesus got baptized, its says,"The spirit of the Lord drove Jesus into the wilderness." It's in this place Jesus was qualified (proven), equipped, and armed for what was next. Sometimes the spirit of God will lead us to a place of threshing and testing to prepare us for our next season. When it was time for Jesus to leave the wilderness Luke 4:14 TPT says, "Then Jesus, armed with the Holy Spirit's power returned to Galilee, and His fame spread throughout the region." The spirit of God led him in and led him out. When we allow the spirit of God to lead us, there is grace and strength released to us to go through, and then come out armed. What the Lord has been taking you through is producing new weapons and strategies for the next season, Psalm 144:1 declares, "Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle."
Not only is the Lord training you to war in a new way, He's building a tenacity and a fierceness in you. God allows the opposition to come to build our spiritual muscles. So often we contradict ourselves by saying God I want to go to new levels, but when the "training" comes we fold under the opposition. We have to be a people that know and learn how to stand in the face of opposition. We have to stop running away from the hard things. We're forgetting who the Lord is in our lives, and how we have the DNA of victory and overcoming in us. Often times we don't realize what's inside us till the Lord allows the opposition to come. God allows those moments to happen not so that we are defeated, but so we can learn to overcome. If we never overcome anything then we'll never have authority to help others or nations breakthrough.
Strength doesn't come by standing still, it comes by pushing back and not giving up. Psalm 84:7 says, "They grow stronger and stronger with every step forward," Strength in this verse is the Hebrew word chayil. Chayil means strength, might, efficiency, and force. Strength is released when we keep stepping forward. The Lord is waiting on you to make up your mind and heart. We all have the choice to go backwards, stay in the middle, or go forward. The strength in Psalm 84 is talking about a realm of God strength, not a human strength. We are supernatural beings and need a supernatural God strength to accomplish all that He's called us to do. When we learn to lean on Him, and wait on Him, He renews our strength (Isa 40:31). The Hebrew word for renew in Isaiah 40 is a constant renewal, it never runs out.
Be encouraged, what has happened in this season God is using to build a supernatural strength, might, and tenacity in you. It's the chayil of God! The chayil will cause you to overcome and do what you didn't think you could. It will cause you to have the advantage over the enemy, just like Elisha outran the chariots. David said in Psalm 18:29, "In your strength I can crush an army, with my God I can scale any wall." The key is walking in His strength not our strength. Set your face like flint and determine in your heart to keep pressing forward. As you lean into God's chayil, His strength is going to cause you to go from strength to strength as you advance in this hour.
